In today's game against John Ehret, we were up against another tough team, but we were feeling pretty good about our chances. It ended up being a close game, and we had plenty of opportunities to come out on top. But you know how it goes—little mistakes here and there ended up costing us the win.
After the game, I found myself thinking more about the mental side of things. We're now 0-2 for the season, and I wondered how the team would handle it. The first game we lost, tensions were running high, and it almost came to blows between a couple of teammates. But this time, things were different. Sure, there was disappointment, but everyone handled it like pros. I made it a point to chat with a few of them individually, giving them props for keeping their cool and reminding them that staying positive is key.
Even though we didn't come out on top, I couldn't help but feel like we still came out winners in a different way. The way we dealt with the loss, sticking together and keeping our heads up, showed real growth as a team. And you know what? That kind of resilience isn't just good for the game—it's the stuff college coaches love to see. They're not just scouting for talent; they're looking for players who can handle tough times with grace. So, even though the scoreboard didn't go our way, I reckon we still made a pretty good impression.
