Today's game was a showdown against our inner-city rival, McDonogh 35, and let me tell you, the atmosphere was electric. This matchup isn't just about points on the board; it's about bragging rights. Many of the players on both sides grew up together, sharing playgrounds and pickup games in the same neighborhoods. They're practically neighbors, so you can imagine the intensity when they face off on the field.

Well, today, we came out on top, and the guys were pumped. Winning against McDonogh 35 in our first district game felt like a big achievement. Sure, the victory was sweet, but what really stood out to me was the way everyone handled themselves after the final whistle. The camaraderie, the respect—it felt like we were building a winning culture right then and there.

But what really caught my eye were the guys with the most talent. I kept a close watch on them, curious about their leadership qualities. And you know what? For the most part, they didn't disappoint. They stepped up, not just with their skills on the field, but also with their positive attitudes and support for their teammates. It's moments like these that make you realize it's not just about the game—it's about the character and leadership that shine through, win or lose
